This is the first fan project about this pairing in English, aiming to create two types of book, anthology and fanzine, in different themes.
INTRODUCTION TO THE PROJECT
This project aim to produce two types of fan collection
1st Project: AnthologyAn anthology is a collection of shorter works, such as short stories and short novels, written by different authors, and usually compiled into a single volume for publication. Japanese Fans use this term when they print a collection of a certain fandom’s comics, illustrations, and fiction by multiple artists and writers in a novel format (monochrome and book paper). It’s rare for an anthology to have merch, and if there is any, it’s usually paper-based as well and already included as a full bundle.So far, JP fans have published SaNami Anthology five times in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2019, and 2023. 2nd Project: FanzineA fanzine is a non-professional and unofficial magazine produced by and for people who share the same interest. This is the term used by global or western fans when they publish a certain fandom’s multiple arts and writings from more than one creator in a magazine format (full color and art paper). As a magazine, it sometimes has sections like quizzes, horoscopes, or other specific columns to be more entertaining, and all the written works have spot art whether they’re illustrations or photographs. It also usually has additional merchandise in various types, sold in separate or full bundles.There are numerous One Piece Zines dedicated to slash pairings or multiple pairings of certain characters. | Will the copies be physical or digital? | We aim for physical copies with digital add-ons. |
| Is there any general requirement for contributors? | You just have to like Sanji x Nami relationship or dynamics whether you believe they'll be the endgame pairing or not. Since we aim for physical copies, we're sorry that we can't accommodate all of you since we must hold selection-based applications . In the application, you'll be asked to submit 3 pieces of your best works. Submitting a portfolio is optional but recommended. The more you show us your love for Sanji x Nami in your works, the better. |
| How will contributors be compensated? | They’ll get a full bundle of a physical copy. Shipping cost will be covered only if we reach enough sales. |
| Will the project be for profit or nonprofit? | We believe a fan project that isn't officially affiliated with the copyright and license holder should not be monetized for profit, with the exception that it's only to compensate the mod team and contributors with a free bundle. Thus, if we get a surplus, then all buyers would be asked whether they prefer to get cashback or to donate it. |
| Can we include other characters that are not Sanji and Nami? | Other characters can be included as long as Sanji and Nami are the main story focus. Polyamorous relationships with other characters are not encouraged as it distracts from our theme. Secondary ships of other characters in the background are fine unless otherwise addressed by the mod because not all people ship the same pairing (i.e Robin shipped whether with Zoro or Franky). |
| Is NSFW content allowed? | Nope. Sanji will die happily in a nosebleed. Kidding, but the books will be suitable for teen age. Note that we can accept stories that do not directly depict sexual acts or illustration of genitals. We may also ask to discuss with you and reconsider part of your works if we decide that the material is not appropriate. |
| Can we depict Sanji and Nami’s relationship not in a romantic one? | Sure. Their canon nature is comradeship (nakama). But, portraying them having mutual romantic feelings is our priority whether they have confirmed it (by a confession or kiss) or not. |

ORGANIZER TEAM (MOD)
ELEAMAYA
(CONCEPT, ADMINISTRATION, LAYOUT, SOCIAL MEDIA)Reading One Piece since 1999, she instantly ships SanNami at Baratie Arc. She wrote her first SanNami fanfic in 2009 and one of the stories won Indonesian Fanfiction Awards 2011 for Best AU.She runs many One Piece fansites on Tumblr since 2011. And after being the main event organizer of SanNami Week till its 7th Annual during 2016-2022, bringing SanNami to be physical book in your hand become her next target.Besides One Piece, she's active in Final Fantasy VII fandom, particularly Zack x Aerith.
ELVENSTAR
(ILLUSTRATION & MERCH)A sucker for a romantic story, she ships SanNami because of Arlong Park. Yes, Arlong Park! You didn't misread it. Baratie laid the fandom seed that blossomed in Arlong Park. She also ships Zoro/Perona.She started actively contributing to the SanNami fandom in 2016 through illustration, fanfiction and a little bit of merch! Continuing that passion, she's happy to come onboard for this project.Besides One Piece, she's also active in the MCU fandom, particularly Loki x Sif. Her other passions are lettering and surface pattern design.
EROMARIMO
(GRAPHICS & PROMOTIONAL ART)Thanks to pandemic lockdown in March 2020 that she's finally introduced to One Piece and started creating SanNami contents in the same year through her social media. She also produces both Illustration and fanfiction for that. Girl Boss x Male Wife? Right, sign her in!She's an illustrator IRL. Vectors, lettering, mockup, whatever you need!! Becoming a mod for her OTP fanbook project surely is one of achievements.One Piece is the only fandom she's active currently. Besides SanNami, she also ships Franky/Robin.

(WRITING & BETA READER)It has been 8 years since she first started watching One Piece, and it's a constant ever since... She still remembers the mornings where Sanji would be a flirt and Nami will have to pick up the pieces, laughing out loud at their cute dynamic, making up scenarios where they would interact and writing fics in her tiny writer notebook where they would kiss and hug ~ And this somehow snowballed into this project ;)Sakura has worked on a number of completed zines and on-going zines like Trapped, Osake Drinkin' nights and Loona the mode.
